The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program is accredited with American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. During the 12-month program, residents will have the opportunity to practice in a variety of clinical settings to gain valuable skills and experience applicable to future careers.
Current Residents
Casey Tran
Casey Tran is originally from Monclova, Ohio. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toledo - College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2025. Casey chose the Mercy Hospital Southeast residency program because of the various learning opportunities, positive support system and small-town charm. Her pharmacy interests include psychiatry, emergency medicine and infectious disease. Outside of her residency, Casey enjoys reading and traveling.
Megan Byler
Megan Byler is originally from Oran, Missouri. She attended St. Louis College of Pharmacy where she received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2021. Megan then earned her Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2025. Throughout her schooling, she worked at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
Megan chose Mercy Hospital Southeast for her post-graduate year one residency (PGY1) because of the supportive pharmacy staff she encountered while on rotations, the positive atmosphere and the various opportunities Mercy provides. Her pharmacy interests include cardiology, internal medicine and ambulatory care. Outside of residency, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, friends and puppies, trying new restaurants and playing social sports.
